Phoenix Aero Club has been teaching pilots to fly since 1977. Whether you want an airline career, or to learn to fly professionally or as a hobby, Phoenix Aero Club has experienced instructors, aircraft fleet and facilities for you.

We operate Phoenix Flying School catering for those seeking pilot licences and endorsements from ab-initio to Private and Commercial Pilot Licence level (including Night VFR). Our Instructors are highly experienced and as a Club we exist for the benefit of members.

Qualified Pilots can hire aircraft (including overnight hire) and Students and Members can participate in the many social events throughout the year, including fly-aways and proficiency competitions. The clubhouse provides social and study facilities and offers online access for CASA examinations.

Phoenix Aero Club is a not-for-profit club and we keep our flying costs as low as possible.

  • Announcements

    Phoenix Aero Club has acquired Liverpool Flying School
    The operations of Phoenix Flying School and Liverpool Flying School have merged as from 27 April 2011 and Rene Ledergerber has become our new CFI and Chief Pilot. Senja Robey will continue instructing along with Gary Dunn.
  • Our expanded fleet consists of:

    - 2 Skippers for ab initio training,
    - A Warrior, Cessna 172 or Sundowner for cross-country training, and
    - A Sierra for commercial training.

    We also have access to a Super Decathlon but only for full-time
    tailwheel endorsements and aerobatic rating courses.
