Training at Camden Airport has many advantages over Bankstown as it has less traffic and less waiting time and is situated within the Training Area giving you more time in the air to learn your new skills.

A Trial Instructional Flight can be arranged for $120/$145 though our CFI

Student Pilot Licence(SPL)
The SPL is your first step to an exhilarating career or life-long passion in the aviation industry.
It allows you to undertake flying lessons and that unforgettable first solo flight.
Requirements
  • Must be 16 years age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Class 2 Medical examination
General Flying Proficiency Test(GFPT)
At the completion of your GFPT you will be able to carry passengers in the training area.
Requirements
  • Pass in the pre solo and pre area solo examinations
  • Pass the basic aeronautical knowledge (BAK) theory exam
  • Flown the flight training syllabus
  • Pass a flight test with our Chief Flying Instructor
Private Pilot Licence (PPL
						)
A Private Pilot Licence allows you to fly anywhere in Australia and gain ratings and endorsements to fly many exciting new aero planes
Requirements
  • Class 2 medical examination
  • Passed the Radio Operator's Licence test
  • Hold a GFPT
  • Pass in the PPL theory examination
  • At least 40 hours flying time including 5 hours solo plus 5 hours solo navigation flight time
  • 2 hours instruments flight time
Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
The CPL allows you to fly for hire or reward, anywhere in Australia and is a stepping-stone to the Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) which is required for employment with airlines.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Be able to read, write and speak English
  • Hold a flight radio telephone licence
  • Hold a flight radio telephone licence
  • Passed all 7 theory exams including:
    1. Human Performance and Limitations (HPL)
    2. Meteorology
    3. Aeronautical Knowledge
    4. Aerodynamics
    5. Navigation
    6. Engine systems and management
    7. Operation and performance
