There are separate runways and facilities for glider operations. Aerodrome elevation is 230 ft AMSL. Camden has many advantages as a training venue allowing pilots to avoid the congestion and costs of Bankstown.

The training area for pilots is readily accessible, just northwest of Camden towards Warragamba Dam, at the base of the Blue Mountains.

Our former home, Hoxton Park Airport, was closed on 15 December 2008 following sale by the Australian Federal Government to BAC Devco. BAC Devco went into receivership in May 2010 (see Australian article). Mirvac Group now owns most of Hoxton Park and is building a $200m distribution centre for Woolworths there.
