Phoenix Aero Club owns and operates three club aircraft. The details of each aircraft can be found on this page! All of our club aircraft hourly hiring rates printed on this page are for non-members. Phoenix Aero Club members enjoy a $10/h discount on all published flying rates. The yearly membership pays for itself very quickly!

VH-UWD

UWD is a 1977 Cessna 172N. The Cessna 172 is an iconic training aircraft that is easy and fun to fly for beginners and experts. With over 44,000 built, having experience in the 172 will let you fly virtually anywhere in the world!

Dual Training Rate: $305/h
Private Hire and Solo Training Rate: $245/h

This aircraft is perfect for cross-country training with its higher cruise speed, as well as the larger cabin and doors on both sides which makes it ideal for taking up passengers in comfort!


VH-TMM

TMM is a 1973 Piper Warrior PA28-151. The Warrior is the ‘other’ classic training aircraft which, together with the 172, make up the majority of flight training aircraft. If you have your sights set on the Piper cockpit philosophy, starting out in Warrior will set you up as you progress through your training to more complex aircraft.

The Warrior is also an excellent choice for cross-country training, and the low wing configuration gives great visibilty for your passengers.


VH-LFT

LFT is a 1980 built Beechcraft BE77 Skipper. This 2 seat trainer is perfect for students just starting to learn. The Skipper has the same control panel and layout as the larger Beechcraft Sundowner, Sierra, and Duchess aircraft. This allows students to progress to these more complex aircraft with ease and in the shortest possible time.

Students starting on the Skipper will also enjoy the more affordable hourly rate of this smaller aircraft.

  • The movement and tower fee listed for each aircraft is payable once per flight.
  • Movement and Tower fees are ex. Camden Airport. Flights that land and take-off from additional airports e.g. during cross-country flights will incur additional charges related to each airport.
